What to Expect From LitCobb: A Moodboard

Book Aesthetic Blog: Literary Cobblestones Book Blog Moodboard - Collage of various book and reading images on creamy white background

I love book aesthetic as much as I love reading a creepy page-turner. For that reason, the visual elements were a main focus when I began reimagining the new rendition of Literary Cobblestones. This collage mood board is a great jumping off point when it comes to visualizations on my book blog, but here’s a quick overview.

What to Expect From My Book Blog

Reading Genres

It’s all about the creepy, crawly, and heart-racing reads on Literary Cobblestones, like thriller, mystery, horror, and gothic genres — many of which cross over into the other anyway. As a WLW myself, sapphic and queer reads are also important to me. As such, I plan on featuring both sides of my reading personalities, and with any luck, I’ll be able to find books that blend the two.

Aesthetic Book Vibes

Visually, I enjoy a slightly alternative reading aesthetic. I like a darker, moodier vibe when enjoying visual representations of reads, including collages and mood boards. I’m also drawn to bits of modern cottage core — that’s the lesbian in me. :) Putting it all together, I envision moody, cottage core witches in flannels and trench coats, tending the flower and herb gardens at their haunted farm house while solving crimes. It’s a niche space, so if it’s up your vibe too, please join me.

Enjoy Some Moody Cottage Core Book Aesthetic

Even if you don’t consider yourself an avid reader or care for review-style blogs, stick around for the visuals. I think reading aesthetic can offer just as much value, especially if they evoke emotion for you. Dive into my moody, cottage core vibes by following along on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.
